An advance party of 20 male OCdts (due to accommodation constraints)
are required for the 24 - 27 April as a work party for Queens
Cup 24 - 27 April. MTDs will be paid for this period. Acting as

Recruiting Curry with 68 Signal Squadron (V) – 22
April 2008
68 (Inns of Court & City Yeomanry) Signal Squadron
(V) is holding a recruiting curry evening on Tues 22 April. There
will be a short presentation on the Squadron/Regiment, an opportunity
to look around the TA Centre and meet some of the soldiers and a
curry supper in the Squadron bar to finish off. If anyone is interested
in having a look at ULOTC's closest Royal Signals sub-unit, contact

Queens Cup competition. 3 Days MTDs will be paid for this period.

1st Jump Parachute Course at JSPC(N) – 31st May
- 1st June 2008
There is an opportunity for ULOTC personnel to attend the above
course on the 31st May - 1st June. A further course has also been
provisionally set for 26 - 27th July.
Anyone interested should reply to parachuting@ulotc.co.uk with
name, number & contact telephone. After MTD's the total payable
by individuals is just £10, instead of the civilian rate
of £185, an opportunity not to be missed. Cost includes
transport to/from the DZ, kit hire, ground training & jump
ticket. The course is open to ALL ranks.

C Company Leaver's Dinner – 14th June 2008
The final deadline for purchase of tickets will be 13th May.
Tickets are £35 each.
Tickets are only for sale to C Company, family/guests and Staff.
Any A and B Coy wishing to work that evening, there are vacancies;

team will be required on 13th and 14th June, again please email
if you are able to help - you will of course be paid

Cross
Country Running
Any individuals interested in the Cross Country Running should
contact Staff Ski (aprrzed@essex.ac.uk ) or speak
with him on a drill night. Individuals are encouraged to take
part in a university XC league which takes place on a series of
Wednesday afternoons over the winter months. The races are 2.5
miles for females and 5 miles for males, and are a great way to
improve fitness.

The 2008 ACU Surf Championships will take place over the period
Fri 16 May to Sun 18 May 08 atSaunton Sands, N Devon under the
authority of the ACU. Accommodation details are enclosed within
the Admin Instruction.

U OTC Special to Arms Course (REME) 18-22 August 2008
The course is open
to all UOTC members and is designed to give hands on experience
whilst providing a greater insight into the engineering role,
work and equipment of the REME.
Individuals will
be given an insight into the work of REME in the helicopter, vehicle
maintenance and recovery roles, visit REME Field Force Units,
have an opportunity to visit the West Court Officers Mess amongst
others. Individuals who wish to know more or are interested in

15 May 2008 – TA 100 City March and reception.
There will be a service
at St Pauls Cathedral at 1100hrs which will finish at around 1155hrs.
There will then be a march (around 500 taking part) past the Lord
Mayor en route to a reception at the Guildhall. 30 volunteers are
required for this parade. The dress will be Cbt 95. You will receive
an MTD for taking part. Personnel will also be allocated an extra
seat in St Pauls Cathedral if they would like to bring a guest along,

The Great British Hero Ride – Sunday 1 June 2008.
We are required to
assist this meeting which is essentially a bike ride through London.
20 volunteers are required to assist in martial duties and assisting
in forming up and dispersal. Names ASAP. 1 x MTD for helping.
