The whole aim of the Company is to develop potential be the Officer Cadet heading for Sandhurst, the City, industry or indeed Masters level education and to give Officer Cadets the chance to take part in a variety of military and non-military development opportunities. The Company culminates its activities by holding a Leavers Dinner after the final exams have been held and is the last formal event in the training programme.

The third year at ULOTC has traditionally given officer cadets the chance to use their training from the two previous years to command and oversee the training of the junior members within the unit. However, over the previous two years, the numbers of cadets choosing to stay beyond their second and third years has grown substantially. This has created the opportunity to introduce a specialised training programme for those third years and above, who have passed MTQ2, whether or not they hold a command position in the unit.

The aim of C Company is provide a personal development programme for Officer Cadets by offering activities in social, cultural and military environments. This includes taking advantage of London’s great resources such as the art galleries and the ballet, as well as the rich military traditions on offer such as the Changing of the Guard and Ceremony of the Keys at Tower of London. The aim here is to develop the person as a whole and give Officer Cadets the chance to do things they may otherwise have not done before.

C Company also uses the great level of expertise within the unit by providing assistance with CV writing and offering practice interviews in preparation for cadets leaving university. In addition to this training, C Company continues to provide crucial support for the unit and other elements of the British army. This is achieved by supporting the training weekends of both A and B Company, in which, C Company are responsible for providing supporting troops and ‘enemy’ forces. Without C Company a lot of the other companies training may not even be possible.

In conclusion, C Company aims at maximizing the effectiveness of training that has been received in the first two years. However, in doing this there is also an emphasis on enjoying the training offered in the third year, by providing a more relaxed teaching environment and offering a wide range of social events where cadets can relax in a more informal atmosphere away from the pressures of their degree. C Company will allow Officer Cadets the opportunity to use their leadership skills and take on tasks for themselves whilst enjoying and maximizing the great challenges and social benefits that the ULOTC has to offer. 2007/08 will be a great year for C Company ending with the finale of the C Company's Leaver's Dinner in June, where Cadets will be given the opportunity to invite their parents to show them exactly what they have achieved in their years with the ULOTC.
