2 Platoon OC, JUO T Exelby - 2juo@ulotc.co.uk


In the third year of his degree JUO Exelby has taken part in many different activities other than the basic 1st and 2nd year training programmes available. These include Urban Warfare exercises with the Royal Yeomanry and 7 Rifles, the Army Kayak Surf Competition 2007 and several inter-OTC REME and Royal Engineer competitions. His favourite experiences at the ULOTC have been Exercise Cockney Snowfall, the ULOTC’s annual alpine ski expedition to Austria and the FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas) training received during his 2nd year training. JUO Exelby intends to join the regular army.

 

 



2 Platoon Sergeant, WOCdt A Crowley - 2platoonsergeant@ulotc.co.uk


Now in her third year at the ULOTC, having completed the basic A and B Company training packages, WOCdt Crowley has taken part in two MACC (Military Aid to the Civilian Community) Tasks in Scotland, two alpine ski expeditions in Austria, Exercise Blue Odin (yacht racing in the Baltic!) and the Rugby tour to Rome. Her favourite experience, however, was her participation in the exchange with the ROTC, the US Army’s equivalent organisation. Following completion of her degree WOCdt Crowley intends to join the Territorial Army.

 

 



2 Platoon 1 Section Commander, WOCdt A McLeod - 2.1sc@ulotc.co.uk


WOCdt McLeod is in her second year at the ULOTC having transferred into B Company from her local Territorial Army unit. During her time in the regiment she has enjoyed the wide array of social activities and taken part in a number of training weekends, as well as 1 annual camp. Highlights of her training include FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas) training with 7 Rifles and the ULOTC hockey team’s trip to Akrotiri, Cyprus.

 

 



2 Platoon 2 Section Commander, OCdt M Tierney -

Now in his 3rd year at the ULOTC OCdt Tierney, in addition to his completion of the basic MTQ1 and 2 training packages, has taken part in ceremonial duties, learned to ride a horse, attended 2 battlefield tours and assuming the position of ‘2i/c Recruiting’ during last summer’s campaign. The highlight of his time at the ULOTC has been commanding a section during live fire attacks on Annual Camp 2007.

 

 



2 Platoon 3 Section Commander, OCdt P Seligman -

Complementing his section commander duties OCdt Seligman captains the ULOTC Rugby team and took part in the team’s tour to Rome in 2006. During the summer of 2007 OCdt Seligman was attached to the Scots Guards on Exercise Medicine Man 3 in Canada, the British Army biggest and most expensive live-fire exercise. This remains the highlight of OCdt Seligman’s OTC career.
