MACC Task - Military Assistance to the Civilian Community

MACC Task

MACC taks is a priority in the ULOTC calendar as a major camp for those wishing to put their craftsman skills to the test. The camp is 2 weeks, fully paid, and commences straight after annual camp each year in Scotland (Glenlivet in the Cairngorm region).

Past years have included tasks such as building footpaths, bridges, dams, cabins, and rebuilding buildings. There is a 2 week version in Scotland each year, and a smaller weekend version undertaken in London on naturally smaller projects to assist the community.

Immediately after Annual camp each year, all interested people should contact the RE PSI early to guarantee a place:

psi.re@ulotc.co.uk , qmsi@ulotc.co.uk

The location is Glenlivet in the Cairngorm region of the Scottish highlands. It will give people the chance to experience life as a Royal Engineer for 2 weeks!

The MACC task consists of building a 40 ton roadbridge, repairing another bridge, constructing patios and BBQ's, repairing infrastructure.

There will be adventure training, visits to local whisky distilleries, highland games, social functions, & sport when we are not working.
