Shotokan Karate

As well as being one of the most effective forms of self defence, Shotokan Karate is a very exciting and enjoyable way to keep fit.

The beginners' course consisting of six lessons and has been developed to cater for people of all ages and levels of fitness. You will be training with other people of the same standard and will not be asked to do anything beyond your capabilities.

The course will cover basic exercises and easy to learn karate moves. These will be taught in a safe, friendly, nurturing environment.

The course provides a good introduction to this fascinating art and by the end of the six lessons you will almost be ready for your first grading, which is blue belt

Every student in the CKA started on similar beginners courses. Some have made it to the coveted black belt and others are long on the way. You too can achieve this. If you have any doubts then come along and watch. You can also take the opportunity to talk to other students and the instructors.
