Exercise Red Dive

Following the success of previous dive exped have been built on to provide training aimed at the newly qualified divers, giving most there first experiance in warm waters with marine life! Places are limited with the remaining five being instructors. This means that once again the whole boat will be ours which enables a great degree of flexibility when choosing dive sites. Once again we are using Tony Backhurst as the tour operator using the new M.V. Whirlwind, the largest and most luzurious vessel in the fleet.

ULOTC has been training with Londinium military diving club, LMDC for years and have qualified many divers over that time. We follow BSAC guidelines and only qualify competent and safe divers.

If your new to diving and this is your first time on this site, click on the training and events link at the top and click on ocean diver. This will hopefully give you all the details you need before you decide to come diving. If you are already qualified with either BSAC or PADI feel free to join to gain further experience. It's easy to cross over from PADI to BSAC and it may also be possible to continue your PADI qualifications.

Diving if a fun sport and all the training in the UK is made worth while during Easter when we go on our annual expedition. This year we are returning to the Red Sea, details of which can be found in the training and events link.

Nitrox course
There is an opportunity to complete a nitrox course. Qualified ocean divers can take the nitrox course, this is a one day theory course, which enables you to use up to 40% O2 mix. Qualified sports divers and above can complete the advance nitrox course, which consists of one day of intense theory (1.4) and two qualifying dives. This training will be done by Phil Worrow and while the theory can be done in a big group, the qualifying dives can only be done two at a time, so patients will be needed. The cost of the course will be approx £55.
